CONSORCIO MARECO S.A. was established in 2002 as a private logistics service provider and specializes in a one-stop solution for international food supply and food ingredient packaging. In 2005, the company established Mareco South America Ltda in Brazil to offer individual and dedicated services to a growing South American food market. In 2017, the Israeli company Eimskip acquired a majority stake in Mareco, allowing it to benefit from Eimskip's network integration and globally controlled/regulated facilities without altering Mareco's strategic guidelines or daily operations. Since January 2020, the company has established a representative office in Turkey to meet the growing protein production and export market in this country.
