Novartiplast Italia S.p.A. was founded in 1953 through the establishment of Artiplast-Società and is now a leading producer of synthetic fabrics in PVC and Polyurethane, known as "Pelli sintetiche". The company originated from the introduction of electro-sprays and began splicing PVC on cardboard in 1963. In 1970, new splicing installations were installed, and the product line was expanded to include Polyurethane, specializing in Art and Nautical, Automotive industry, and Fashion (shoes, fur, and clothing). The production is centered in Cogliate (MB) and offers a comprehensive range of products for various application areas. Novartiplast Italia has been a pioneer in the use of non-FTA plasticizers since 2012, which underscores their commitment to sustainability.
