It produces a series of 18 Technical Information Papers (TIPs) covering specific spill-related topics. ITOPF also offers services in alternative fuels, producing reports on the fate, behaviors, and potential hazards arising from spills of alternative fuels. The organization provides information services as a primary source for accidental ship-source pollution data, contingency planning advice to governments and industry, training courses and seminars worldwide, and claims analysis and damage assessment for pollution incidents. Founded in 1967, ITOPF has produced over 100 publications and papers, including TIPs, Company literature, Good Practice Guides, Technical Advisory Papers (TAPS), and Technical Information Papers (TIPS).
