Yemen LNG Company Ltd, founded in August 2005 as the country’s largest industrial investment with a budget of around US$4.5 billion, is currently operating under force majeure due to security concerns, maintaining the integrity of its Balhaf site and preserving operations with some personnel on-site. The company awards approximately 20 scholarships annually to Yemeni students for studies in France to support local human resource development. Established as a significant project by both the Government of Yemen and its shareholders, Yemen LNG has been actively involved in social responsibility initiatives, including health and safety measures, community relations, and environmental protection.
