Elbferry GmbH & Co KG is a shipping company based in Germany specializing in personel shipping and charter boats. It took over the ferry connection between Brunsbüttel and Cuxhaven in March 2021, using modern concepts without diesel ships and heavy oil. The Greenferry, powered by liquefied gas, is in operation. Two partners support the company: the manager of the traditional reedery Strahlmann and MTB new energy from Brunsbüttel. However, the reedery applied for insolvency in November 2021 and ceased ferry services in December of the same year, making bookings no longer possible. The connections take place on the route from Brunsbüttel to Cuxhaven and back, with the crossing lasting 60 minutes. On the Greenferry, up to 600 passengers and cars and trucks can be transported.
