Servicios Portuarios SA was founded on March 10, 1984 and has specialized since then in receiving grain shipments from various regions of the MERCOSUR. The company offers services such as river and terrestrial cargo handling, silo storage, classification, weight determination, equipment provision, treatment, and loading of ships. Starting in 1992, the company began expanding by constructing Terminal Puerto San Nicolás, named after the port, in the same area. In 1993 and 1994, Servicios Portuarios SA won several concessions, including Units I and II of the Villa Constitución Port, Units III of Rosario, and Units VI and VII of Rosario. The seven terminals are located along the Paraná River over a frontage of 170 kilometers and are part of the Paraguay-Paraná Hydroelectric Network.
