Valkyrie Fiber is an artisanal yarn company based in both Akureyri, Iceland, and Portland, Oregon. It was founded in 2022 by Amy Skylark Foster, an award-winning songwriter and fiber artist. Valkyrie Fiber creates a unique Merino-Icelandic wool blend, hand-dyed in small batches in Portland, Oregon. The wool is sourced directly from Icelandic farmers and spun in small batches at a mill in New York. Each skein is dyed by hand to reflect the colors and stories of Iceland, offering a one-of-a-kind yarn that is both strong and comfortable. Valkyrie Fiber's products can also be found at Garni Gangi in Akureyri, Iceland.
