Madrás Boat Club, founded in 1867, is one of India’s oldest and most prestigious rowing institutions located on the Adyar River in Chennai. The club offers a range of facilities including bar services, banquet halls, residential chambers, a gymnasium, swimming pool, and billiards room to its members. Madras Boat Club hosts annual Cold-, Hot- and Monsoon Regattas and is known for pioneering formal regattas, such as the historic Madras-Colombo race in 1898.
