Royal Selangor Yacht Club was founded in 1969 and has developed since then as a center for yacht hobby games. The clubhouse was renovated in 1983, and in 1992 it was severely damaged by a fire, which led to the construction of the current building, designed by the renowned Malaysian architect Hijjas Kasturi. Today, the clubhouse boasts over 100 yachts in its fleet, including keelboats, fishing sampans, and dinghies. The RSYC offers professional services such as mooring and docking facilities, as well as maintenance and repair services for yachts. Members can also participate in exclusive regattas and social events, and there are special areas for dining and celebrations with breathtaking sea views. With over 2,500 members, the RSYC is an important part of the yachthobby community in Malaysia.
