The Knysna Yacht Club, established in 1910, is internationally renowned for its hospitality and facilities, boasting one of the larger yacht club memberships in South Africa. The club offers sailing, canoeing, and other water sports activities, as well as associations with Sanparks, the Sea Cadets, and NSRI. It provides haul-out facilities for vessels up to 12 tonnes, serviced by SAS/SAMSA qualified personnel. The clubhouse is situated on the Knysna lagoon, offering a restaurant, two bars, a function venue, play area, and ablution facilities. Larger vessels, including cruising craft, racing catamarans, and charter boats, can be seen at the club. The trophy cabinet highlights over a century of yacht racing achievements.
