The Point Yacht Club is Durban's premier water sports club, founded in 1892. It operates from two venues: the Bay Site Clubhouse at the Yacht Mole and the Beach Club at Vetch’s Beach, which features South Africa’s largest Hobie Cat fleet. The club offers a range of activities including keelboat racing, dinghy and Hobie Cat sailing, powerboating with Kingfisher fleets, kayaking, and youth sailing programs. It also hosts offshore events such as the Mauritius to Durban Race. The Beach Club provides world-class facilities like the Anchorage Restaurant and Charlie’s Bar. Membership includes access to these venues and a calendar of racing and social events.
