Queen Victoria Seamen’s Rest, Bristol (QVSR Bristol) welcomes annually approximately 10,000 seafarers and operates an unmanned Seafarer Centre in Sharpness. The centre is accessible daily from 13:00 to 22:00 GMT and offers services such as SIM cards and phone top-ups, free WLAN, satellite television, light snacks, and a pool table. There is also a Chaplain’s room available. The company supports seafarers by providing vehicles for transport between the ship and the centre. QVSR Bristol has celebrated 175 years and expanded its location in London with Seafarer Centres Tilbury, Gateway, Felixstowe, and Immingham. The firm also collects donations, particularly knitted articles and Christmas gifts for seafarers during holidays.
