The shipyard is located in Weihai, on the east coast of the Jiaodong Peninsula, near the Port of Bohai, and has an area of 44,000 square meters. It features a 355 Meter × 78 Meter dry dock with a capacity of 300,000 tons as well as a 200,000-ton dry dock with dimensions of 325 Meter × 54 Meter and an average temperature of 12 degrees Celsius throughout the year, which suits the working steps well. The shipyard can repair and build ships up to 300,000 tons draft.
