San Pedro Port Authority is the world's leading port for cocoa exports, handling over one million tonnes annually. The port has seen significant growth in its cargo traffic, increasing from 1.2 million tonnes in 2010 to more than 7.4 million tonnes by 2024. It serves a range of commodities including cocoa, rubber, palm oil, nickel, and cotton. The authority operates the Terminal Industriel Polyvalent de San Pedro (TIPSP) and is developing new infrastructure that will handle up to 50 million tonnes of cargo annually after the first phase of construction. Founded in 1972, it has been recognized with the Super Prix des Entreprises d'État 2023 for its performance.
