CORNWALL SEA FISHERIES was founded in 1975 and represents members from Cornwall and further south, who form one of the most diverse and sustainable fishing fleets in Europe. The managed vessels range from small single-manned boats with a length of about 5 meters to large beam trawlers with a beam of at least 24 meters. The company works together with various fishing methods including bottom trawling, beam trawling, gill-netting, tangle & trammel netting, creel fishing, sound cannon hunting, and handlining. Cornwall Sea Fisheries is certified by the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC) for its Cornish hake fishing operations and has received this certification three times already.
