Mukran Port is a modern multifunctional port located on the island of Rügen in Germany, covering an area of approximately 430 hectares. It offers ferry, rail, multipurpose, and offshore terminals, along with extensive production and storage areas. The port serves as a base for the offshore wind industry within a radius of up to 30 nautical miles, hosting numerous approved or currently pending projects. Mukran Port is one of few harbors in the Baltic Sea region that offers 170 hectares of industrial land. In June 2026, the port invested over 25 million euros in expanding a specialized terminal for heavy cargo. The port also provides regular ferry services to Denmark and has the capacity for additional ferry and tramp services.
