women-fisheries.com
Women-Fisheries.com is a network for women involved in UK fisheries, including vessel owners, fleet managers, fishermen, fishmongers, processors, fishing conservationists, and charity workers. The network was formed as a response to a four-year research project funded by the Economic and Social Research Council, which highlighted the 'invisible' roles of women in the UK fishing industry. The network aims to connect women across the fisheries sector, strengthen relationships, and benefit the whole industry. They have published several research papers and a policy briefing. Women-Fisheries.com has over 1,200 members as of 2023.
