Port Kembla Gateway is an intermodal terminal located in the outer harbor of Port Kembla and was established in 1991 through privatization of Jetty 6 by the Maritime Services Association. The company offers services for barge and cargo loading, including the loading ramp B202 and B203, which can accommodate ships up to 200 meters in length. The ramp features specialized loading and unloading equipment for minerals and for unloading cement and limestone. Loading systems are also available for other goods such as plaster, fertilizers, iron, and general cargo. Port Kembla Gateway has five underground storage sheds with a total storage capacity of 10,500 square meters, as well as ample space for containers and other goods on the site. The company operates the only public-access scale in the Port Kembla area, catering to both tourists and local and regional businesses.
