Zvezda shipyard, founded in December 2015, specializes in constructing various types of vessels including Arctic tankers, Aframax tankers, supply vessels, and icebreakers. The yard has produced the Akademik Gubkin, an Aframax tanker, and is known for building Arc7 ice-classed LNG carriers and Arc6 ice-classed tankers for Arctic navigation. Zvezda also constructs multi-functional supply vessels and nuclear icebreakers. The company's projects include the Leader-class nuclear icebreaker, designed for year-round navigation on the Northern Sea Route. Zvezda has a capacity to build large tonnage vessels suitable for harsh Arctic conditions. The yard has hosted significant projects such as the naming ceremony of the Arctic gas carrier Konstantin Possiet in July 2026.
