Cantieri Sangermani is an Italian company with a long history of ship and yacht building. The firm was founded in 1896 by Ettore 'Dorin' Sangermano, when he opened a boatbuilding workshop in Mulinetti (Recco). Over several decades, the company grew and expanded its location to Rapallo, where it continues to create yachts of various sizes. In the 1960s, under the leadership of Cesare Sangermani Sr. and his brother Piero, another growth spurt occurred, during which larger yachts for prominent individuals were built. Notable is Gitana IV, which in 1965 improved the Fastnet Record with a significant margin. Cantieri Sangermani has specialized in yacht manufacturing and over more than a century has established an outstanding reputation in the yachtbuilding industry while simultaneously adopting innovative techniques.
