Intl Ship Managers' Assoc, known as InterManager, represents over 7,500 ships and more than 330,000 seafarers worldwide. It is the only organization dedicated to ship management at both IMO and industry level. Full members must establish a quality management system in accordance with ISO 9001:2000. Founded in 1988 as ISMA and officially established in 1991, InterManager has been advocating for higher standards in ship operations through initiatives like the ISMA Code and membership requirements based on ISO 9001:2000 compliance. Today, it serves as a platform for discussing common interests and is recognized internationally as the voice of ship managers.
