Seafarming Systems develops sustainable farming systems for responsible aquaculture, increasing seafood production while reducing environmental impact. They offer disruptive merd technology to ensure sustainable growth of fish in Norwegian fjords using their semi-enclosed Aquatraz® systems since 2018. The company has produced over 10,000 tons of salmon with good biological results, and the production costs, including investments, are lower in Aquatraz® compared to conventional systems. Their largest system, Aquantum®, is a 500,000 m³ through-flow system that requires development funding to be realized. Seafarming Systems also provides fully enclosed Aquasafe systems for highly recycled water-based farming. The company is based in Stavanger and was founded as Seafarming System AS in 2018.
