AIVP is an NGO that has been operating for 30 years, bringing together urban and port actors from around the world. It organizes the 21st Global Conference of Cities and Ports from November 3 to 6, 2026, in Dunkerque, France. AIVP aims to improve the relationship between cities and ports through mutual cooperation for a more sustainable, responsible, and innovative urban, port, and economic development centered on citizens. The organization has 190 member organizations, 2000 reference contacts from 50 countries. It offers courses such as "Sustainable Cities Ports" to support various actors in achieving sustainability goals. AIVP also runs the AIVP Antoine Rufenacht Prize to recognize outstanding city-port interface projects.
