Foremast Marine Ltd. stands for the development and implementation of zeroEMission, automated, small, and flexible vessels (SFAZ) for cargo transfer from road to waterways. The company is part of the 3-year FOREMAST project, funded by the Horizon Europe Programme and focusing on creating sustainable transport solutions in urban and coastal areas. Foremast works on the development of SFAZ vessels intended for inland waterway traffic to reduce road traffic congestion, lower emissions, and improve overall accessibility. The project has three Living Labs in Ghent (Belgium), Caen and Le Havre (France) as well as Galati (Romania), where SFAZ ship concepts are tested.
