NVEP, founded in 1986, is a self-governing and professional association with an approximately 35-member expert roster. The experts work in various fields such as inspection and certification of sales and delivery, risk assessment, supervision of construction, and project management. NVEP aligns with the interests of its members and is not a consumer organization. The Qualified Yacht Surveyor (QYS) System was introduced to ensure the quality of the experts. NVEP has established itself as a professional association for the shipbuilding and equipment sector, offering services such as liability assessment for damage to vessels, engines, batteries, and ship materials. The NVEP's center is located in Katwoude.
