The company belongs to the Solander Group and has exported fish and marine treasures worldwide since its founding. Aurora Fisheries plans to operate with the new trawler F.V Takapo from mid-2026. The fishing vessel was built at the Tersan Shipyard in Turkey and is based on a design by Skipsteknisk from Norway. The ship represents a new era in New Zealand's deep-sea fishing industry, bringing significant advancements in energy efficiency and regeneration. Aurora Fisheries supplies sustainably caught fish and marine animals from the subantarctic islands of New Zealand, which are caught in the pristine waters of the Southern Ocean.
