They have saved over 70,000 people from conflicts, natural disasters, persecution, or poverty. In September 2015, they responded to the crisis in the Mediterranean by sending their first mission to Lesbos, Greece. Since then, they have focused on the central Mediterranean route where nearly 31,000 people have lost their lives since 2014. They also created a humanitarian corridor to Gaza with World Central Kitchen. With over ten years of experience, Proactiva Open Arms continues to act in response to urgent needs and conflicts around the world.
