Dredging Corporation of India (DCI) was established in 1976 to provide dredging services to major ports in India. The company is based in Visakhapatnam on the east coast of India and offers a range of services including maintenance dredging, capital dredging, land reclamation, beach nourishment, shallow water dredging, and project management consultancy. DCI has signed significant Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with 16 leading organizations valued at over ₹17,000 crore during India Maritime Week 2025 in Mumbai. Additionally, the Hon’ble Prime Minister announced a ₹4,000 crore fund infusion towards DCI’s fleet expansion, marking a major step in the company’s modernization journey. In November 2025, DCIL executed various shallow water dredging projects and is fully equipped to cater to maintenance and capital dredging requirements of all major ports in India.
