Tebul OY was founded in 1942 and has since specialized in the production of hydraulic machines and equipment for shipbuilding and other industries. Since 1961, the company develops and produces watertight doors for various types of ships, including cruise ships, luxury yachts, passenger ferries, icebreakers, research vessels, and oil platform ships. The doors are installable on A-60 bulkheads and also feature an explosion-proof variant (Eex-version). Tebul OY has delivered more than 5000 watertight doors, and their products are manufactured according to the latest SOLAS requirements. The company was merged with Wärtsilä in 1964 and became independent again in 1988 to continue the newly organized former Wärtsilä Marine activities. The current location of the firm is Luumäentie 2, Lieto, Finland.
