Veteranskipslaget Fjordabaten maintains and uses old ships, particularly the M/S Granvin, which was in service from 1931 to 1987 for the Hardanger-Sunnhordland-Dampfschifffahrtsverband. The M/S Stord I was built in 1913 at A/S Laxevaag Maskin- og Jernskibsbyggeri on Laksevåg for the Hardanger-Sundhordland-Dampfschifffahrtsverband and resembles the D/S Rosendal from 1909. The ship was put into service in 1988. The company offers lease possibilities of these historical ships for summer cruises, with all work on the ships carried out by volunteers. The firm has its headquarters in Bergen and was founded in the year 2026.
