Canal Naval Constructions Shipyard, also known as Port Said Engineering Works & Naval Constructions Co. (PSEWNC), was founded in 1963 and is a public sector company within the Suez Canal Authority administration area. The enterprise employs more than 500 highly qualified personnel and offers services in shipbuilding, repair, and conversion as well as steel structures and engine maintenance. Specialized in the fabrication and repair of aluminum and steel boats, the company has a modern facility with a 200-meter dock for shipbuilding and a 150-meter dock for ship repairs, where a new mobile pier with a load capacity up to 5,000 tons is planned. PSEWNC has built and delivered more than 550 flexible-use vessels to the Suez Canal Authority, Egyptian port authorities, and other state-owned undertakings.
