Ananda Shipyard & Slipways Ltd. [ASSL], established 1983 by Dr. Abdullahel Bari and his wife Mrs. Bari, has grown into a leading shipbuilding enterprise in Southeast Asia. The company operates an area of 80,000 square meters, with 20,000 square meters covered, and possesses modern tools and machines. The shipbuilding halls are equipped with EOTS (End of Track System), while the sluices are equipped with gantry cranes. Ananda has distinguished itself through several historical firsts in Bangladesh, including the export of the first ships to Denmark in May 2008. The company has been working on various projects for the government and private owners since its establishment, supported by the Bangladesh Ministry of Government and donors.
