Metroferry Marine Services Limited was founded in 2008 in Nigeria as a fully indigenous firm. The company has since offered safe, comfortable and efficient water transport services on the waterways of Lagos. Metroferry began its commercial operational activities in 2009 with a fleet build-up, which gradually increased, thereby also increasing the number of passengers in transit. Today, the firm ferries approximately 18,000 passengers daily and is known for its reliable and punctual service. Metroferry holds a license from the Lagos State Waterways Authority to operate planned and mass-oriented ferry services in the state.
