Port Ghalib International Marina was established since 2002 as an important part of the community in South Egypt. The marina premises can accommodate up to 1,000 yachts and features a magnificent mooring at Port Ghalib Peninsula. The marina is only 5 kilometers away from Marsa Alam International Airport. UK-based marina company Camper and Nicholson have managed the marina grounds since 1999 and brought it up to international standards, also functioning as operator consultants. Port Ghalib International Marina is the first private harbor in Egypt and was officially classified as a new yacht harbor, allowing access of yachts from the southern Red Sea to the Mediterranean.
