Racer Marina is the only fully-equipped marina on the western coast of the Gulf of Thailand. The marina offers 80 weather-proof mooring spaces for yachts up to 75 feet in length, 25 dry storage sheds, and 200 hardstand berths. It was established under the name Phatra Marine in 1995 but was shut down in 1997 due to development difficulties, after which fishermen took over the facility and used it as a fishing harbor. Racer Marina Hua Hin was taken over by four businessmen (a Thai, Swiss, American, and Frenchman) in December 2014, who shared the vision to modernize the facility.
