Beernemse Watersportvereniging (BWSV) is a well-known watersports club located along the Gent-Brugge canal, having grown to serve 250 vailable members and 120 fixed moorings. The club offers facilities for boating, water skiing, and wakeboarding. In December 2025, they welcomed an amphibious vehicle event with 80 vehicles participating in a journey to Brugge. A new totem was installed in January 2023 as a landmark for the harbor. The club is currently working on major renovations and improvements, including slipway construction and updating utilities, scheduled for completion by spring. Founded in 2021, BWSV celebrated its first operational year in 2022.
