Tvornica Turbina doo was founded in 1975 and is a leading company in the manufacturing of rotor and stator blades as well as sluice motors. The technology is based on a license from Rolls Royce, and the firm was also the only producer of these specific blade components outside of the EU. In 1982, production of centrifugal compressors for air motors began, while in 1985, the manufacturing of rotor compressors for helicopter turbine TV 2 and Astazou was started. In 1991, the firm took over the production of rotor compressors for stationary gas-turbine NK12St and NK14St to meet transportation requirements on Russian gas pipelines. Since 1996, the company has been working with the CFM Corporation to produce parts for the aircraft engine CFM56.
