Jadranbrod Croatian Shipbuild was founded in 1994 as a Corporate Entity in Croatia to coordinate the Croatian shipbuilding industry on the international market. In 1997, the company Hrvatska Brodogradnja d.o.o. merged with Jadranbrod (a Coordinating Organism for Croatian shipbuilders and manufacturers of ship components) to form the new entity Hrvatska Brodogradnja – Jadranbrod d.d. (HB – J). The firm employs a significant part of the population in various regions of Croatia, particularly in Istria, Primorje-Gorski Kotar, Split-Dalmatia. Their product portfolio includes different types and sizes of ships and installations, repairs, as well as the construction of offshore structures.
