Metro Mining Limited (ASX: MMI) is an Australian mining and exploration company based in Brisbane, Queensland. Its flagship project, the Bauxite Hills Mine, located 95 kilometers north of Weipa on Western Cape York, has been operating since April 2018. The mine covers approximately 1,900 square kilometers and holds an estimated ore reserve of 77.7 million tonnes (Mt) and total resources of 114.4 Mt. Ore from the Bauxite Hills Mine is shipped to meet China’s growing bauxite market for aluminium production. As at 31 December 2024, Metro Mining had paid down over $30 million in debt, finishing the year with $57 million in cash.
