Coremar Group was founded in the Caribbean coast of Colombia in 1958 as a maritime and port business to address the infrastructure gap in the country. The company has since become the first conglomerate in Colombia for comprehensive logistics services supported by its own infrastructure, focusing on the energy industry through five main divisions: Port Tugs, Offshore Vessels, Maritime Transportation, Fuel Distribution, and Ports and Terminals. Coremar Group operates the Palermo Cluster, which includes three business units of Coremar: Palermo Port Society (port terminal), Palermo Free Zone (free zone), and Palermo Tanks (liquid terminal). The company has been recognized for its development contributions, such as launching a commemorative magazine to celebrate 15 years of operation. Juan Pablo Ospina Villegas was named the Year's Businessman in 2024.
