German Maritime Arbitration Association (GMAA) is a non-incorporated association that promotes alternative dispute resolution methods in the maritime industry. The GMAA does not conduct proceedings itself but provides relevant regulations and procedural information. It organizes informational and training events on arbitration, mediation, expert reports, and conciliation. The GMAA held its annual meeting and dinner at the Museum Ship "Rickmer Rickmers" in Hamburg in 2025, a 1896-built sailing ship that has been moored as a landmark since 1983.
