Adelaide Ship Const Intl is the largest shipyard in the South Australian Port Adelaide and was founded in 1980. The yard builds new ships and offers comprehensive repair and maintenance services both in water and out of water. ASCI builds ships according to the rules of Classification Societies and Government requirements, including military and para-military vessels, patrol boats, high-speed catamarans, commercial and leisure-friendly ships as well as ferries and mini-cruise ships. The yard also offers maintenance services for ships, including repairs and modifications of metal ships, aluminum ships, wooden ships, and fiber-glass ships, as well as electrical and mechanical repairs. ASCI works with the Marine Survey and Naval Architects Society GN Marine, which provides official certification and shipbuilding inspection services.
