Mattina Hnos. SACIAN was founded in 1953 as a family business by Juan and José Mattina in Ensenada, near the port of La Plata. The company began supplying shipyard workers with dry and fresh provisions. Over time, its offerings expanded to international ships, particularly Greek ones. Mattina Hnos. SACIAN is the largest maritime provisioner in Argentina and employs more than 120 families. After the passing of Don Juan and Don José in 2018, Juan Carlos Mattina fully took over the operation, which today encompasses a broad network of locations including San Lorenzo, Mar del Plata, Bahía Blanca, Puerto Madryn, Puerto Deseado, and Ushuaia. These sites feature office and storage facilities as well as refrigerated warehouses and refrigerated trucks.
