Baltic Sea Explorer was founded in 2015 by Tom Kürten and is a collaboration of divers specializing in wreck diving and environmental protection. The team consists of an instructor-trainer, two instructors, an instructor-assistant, and two dive assistants. The company offers training programs according to the standards of TDISDI and IDDA, including the "Open Water Diver" course up to professional levels in sport diving, as well as specialized courses such as the "Ghostnet Recovery Diver." In the technical diving field, courses are offered for Advanced Nitrox, Tec-Wreck, and Normoxic up to Full Trimix. Baltic Sea Explorer is specialized in salvaging ghost nets, locating and documenting old wrecks from the two World Wars, and wreck expeditions in the Baltic Sea and North Sea.
