Pilotage-expertise.ca is the National Centre of Expertise on Maritime Pilotage, a technical body of the Canadian Marine Pilots’ Association. It brings together the expertise of licensed maritime pilots from Newfoundland to Vancouver Island. The Centre coordinates work on professional accreditation, including initial training and continuous professional development of pilots, and addresses their professional conduct. It maintains close relationships with the American Pilots’ Association to ensure binational coordination on pilotage procedures and technology. The Centre is located at 440 Laurier Avenue West, Suite 200, Ottawa, ON, and can be contacted via email at aarseneault@pilotage-expertise.ca. The Canadian Marine Pilots’ Association, of which it is a part, has an Executive Director, Capt. Alain Arseneault. The Centre has input into decisions of the International Maritime Organization
