Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue (RCM-SAR) is a volunteer organization based in British Columbia, Canada, with a focus on marine search and rescue operations along the Pacific coast. Founded in 2012, RCM-SAR operates over 1,000 volunteers who use modern, well-equipped rescue vessels to provide 24/7, 365-day-a-year service. Their operational area covers more than 27,000 kilometers of rugged coastline, over 6,000 islands, and approximately 450,000 square kilometers of internal and offshore waters. In the last 12 months, RCM-SAR conducted 602 SAR missions, assisting 429 people and saving 65 lives, with a total of 72,435.22 person hours dedicated to these efforts.
