Asian Shipowners’ Association (ASA) was founded in April 1992 and consists of six members from the shipowners' associations of Asia Pacific region, including Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, and Federation of ASEAN Shipowners’ Associations (FASA). ASA changed its name to reflect the work and progress of its members and committees, as of January 2022, half of the world’s tonnage was owned by Asian companies. The association supports various maritime events such as the Maritime HR & Crew Management Summit in London, UK, and Singapore Maritime Week in Suntec, Singapore.
