Living Classrooms Foundation implements community-driven, research-based programs that provide hands-on learning opportunities for individuals of all ages at their Crossroads Public Charter Middle School, community centers, in workforce development programming, aboard historic ships, and in urban green spaces. The foundation's mission is to strengthen communities and inspire children, youth, and adults through education, workforce development, health and wellness, and community safety programs. Maritime Magic, a gala event, and the Friends of James Beard Dinner Series are among the foundation's fundraising initiatives. Sail250 Maryland & Airshow Baltimore, celebrated in 2026, welcomed over 600,000 visitors.
