The organization focuses on cross-industry collaboration, including automakers, charging station manufacturers, component suppliers, energy providers, and grid operators. CharIN has extended its scope to include commercial vehicles and is developing the Megawatt Charging System (MCS) for charging heavy-duty vehicles such as e-ferries, ships, and planes. The organization is also working on defining requirements for the evolution of CCS-related standards and the certification of CCS-based products.
