Ventspils Grain Terminal is a specialized grain and bulk terminal, which commenced operations in Ventspils, Latvia, in 2005. The terminal provides the capability for the storage and processing of export, import, and transit grains and other agricultural products. It can process up to 2 million tons of grain annually and has high throughput efficiency in both loading and unloading, particularly with Panamax types (up to 75,000 tons). The terminal facility features eleven silos and a universal two-tier storage hall with a combined capacity exceeding 100,000 tons, which can simultaneously store various grain parts. An automated temperature control system supports storage. The terminal is capable of loading ships up to 75,000 tons and has specific loading facilities for rail wagons and heavy trucks.
